Final Programme and Abstracts

The final programme and abstracts will be published on the Internet at CO CONGRESS ONLINE® prior to the congress. This enables each participant to create her/his personal congress programme schedule. CO CONGRESS ONLINE® offers an extensive congress service. Abstracts will also be published in an abstract book. Participants will receive a copy of the final programme and the abstract book with the congress material.

Poster Exhibition

Posters are displayed from Monday, 14 July until Wednesday, 16 July 2008 in Hall B0 on the ground floor of the ICM. The posters are changed daily and will presented by the authors between 18.00 and 19.30 h. This will be done in conjunction with wine and cheese mixer.
The authors of the posters are asked to put their poster on the particular congress day between 8.00 and 9.00 h and to remove the poster between 19.30 and 20.30 h on the day of the presentation. Posters that have not been removed by 20.30 h will be disposed of.

Information regarding poster format (maximum poster size: 185cm high x 95cm wide), set up and dismantling has sent to the authors along with their notification of acceptance.

Mentee / Rafaelsen Award Posters:

There will be a dedicated section for the posters of members of the Mentor/Mentee Programme and for the Rafaelsen Award winners. These posters will be up for the duration of the poster exhibition (Monday through Wednesday).

The CINP Congress will be accompanied by a major technical exhibition taking place in the foyers of the ICM and Hall B0. Potential exhibitors can request an exhibition/sponsoring brochure from the exhibition office, CPO HANSER SERVICE GmbH.

SPEAKERS CENTRE

The Speakers Centre is located in Hall 2 on the ground floor of the ICM. Speakers are asked to hand in their CD-ROM or USB stick containing the  PowerPoint presentation (IBM format or compatible, no multisession) preferably one day before their presentation, but at the latest 3 hours prior to the presentation.

The presentation will be transferred to the central congress server and will be available afterwards on a special congress notebook in the hall of the presentation. Due to time and technical reasons we kindly ask the speakers not to use their own notebook. In the Speakers Centre there are several PC working stations where speakers can also work on their presentation charts in a quiet area. Technical staff will be happy to assist.

MENTEES / YOUNG INVESTIGATORS CLUB

CINP has a very strong commitment to encouraging younger scientists and clinicians in the field of neuropsychopharmacology. CINP supports a very valuable international mentoring programme under the auspices of its Education Committee. It also provides a number of Rafaelsen Young Investigator Fellowships. Participants in these programmes and awards represent some of the most promising individuals in this area of science and medicine. As part of its support CINP is providing a club room (Room 22a, 2nd floor of the ICM) for their exclusive use which they can use as a base during the congress; have workshops and lectures in and work together with their mentors. It will also help them network with each other and with visiting senior persons.

INTERNET SERVICE CENTRE

As a courtesy to all participants several internet terminals are available at the Internet Service Centre within the exhibition in Hall B0 of the ICM. Participants also have the possibility to use the congress information system CO CONGRESS ONLINE®.

Opening hours are Monday, 14 July through Wednesday, 16 July 2008 from 09.00 – 17.00 h and Thursday, 17 July 2008 from 09.00 – 13.00 h.

Congress Documentation

Abstract Book
Registered participants receive their abstract book of the XXVI CINP Congress in exchange for the voucher which is included in the participants documents. The pick up of abstract books is located in the registration area.

CINP GENERAL ASSEMBLY


The CINP General Assembly will take place on Wednesday, 16 July 2008, from 17.45 h to 19.00 h in Hall 4 of the ICM.

COffEE BREAKS AND LUNCHES


Coffee and tea are served at 16.00 h from Monday, 14 July through Wednesday, 16 July 2008 and at 11.00 h on Thursday, 17 July 2008. Lunches are served for registered participants from 12.00 h to 14.00 h from Monday, 14 through Wednesday, 16 July 2008. The catering stations are located in Hall BO and in the Foyer Ground Floor.

CLOAKROOM


A cloakroom can be used free of charge from Sunday, 13 July, prior to the first Satellite Symposium (13.00 h), through Thursday, 17 July 2008. Participants can also store their luggage here. The cloakroom is located on the mezzanine level between the Foyers Ground Floor and First Floor.

Congress Language

The official language of the XXIV CINP Congress is English.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

All registered CINP delegates and accompanying persons are entitled to use Munich’s public transportation system (inner district) free of charge from Monday, 14 July through Thursday, 17 July 2008. A voucher to receive the transportation pass is included in the personal congress documents and will be handed out at the congress counter. Please note that transportation from and to the airport is not included in the transportation pass.

HOW TO GET TO THE ICM FROM THE CITY CENTRE OF MUNICH

The ICM is about 20 minutes from the city centre by subway. The U2 subway runs at 10-minute intervals from 5.30 to 24.00 h. It goes straight to the ICM/New Munich Trade Fair Centre ("Messestadt West" station).

AISC is the official Italian agency who is authorised to deal with the Italian Health Authorities.

Insurance

The congress fee does not include insurance. All participants should arrange for their own insurance. Health and accident insurance is recommended and has to be purchased in your country of origin.

Letter of Invitation

The congress organisation will be pleased to send a formal letter of invitation to delegates requesting an invitation letter for Visa purposes. It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential delegates to raise funds or to obtain a visa. This does not imply a commitment from the congress to provide any financial support. Letters of invitation may be requested from the congress office not later than 15 June 2008. The letters will be sent by regular air mail. In case an express delivery is needed, the delegate shall order a courier at his/her own expense.

Visa

The entry formalities for the Federal Republic of Germany vary according to the country of origin. Congress delegates are asked to address enquiries about entry and vaccination requirements to the travel agent or to the local Federal German consulate in the home country.

Climate and Currency

Munich has a continental climate. Summers are generally sunny and warm with a few wet or cloudy days. In July, expect temperatures between 18 to 28 degrees Celsius (65 to 82 Fahrenheit).

Payments will be accepted in EURO (EUR).
